Old Barn in Pastel

Old Barn - Pastel

This is an old barn done in pastel, however it was more of a tree practice for me. I am really trying to work on various ways to add trees and other foliage to my work.

There are lot's of tricks to drawing and painting trees, but I'll admit that I don't really like any of those I've tried so far. It seems to be either too much or too little detail.

This drawing took about 5 hours and that is about 4 hours past what it looks like in my opinion. Maybe I'm being overly critical or just realistic about it.
